With a cooling capacity of 1.5 tons, it is typically paired with a coil or air handler that has a larger tonnage, ensuring optimal system efficiency. It boasts a 14.3 SEER rating, making it 5-7% more efficient than standard 13.4 SEER units, which translates to potential savings on electricity bills throughout its lifespan. Heat pumps like this one generally offer superior heating efficiency compared to straight electric furnaces, as they transfer heat rather than generate it, thereby reducing energy consumption.

The ACiQ N80MSN0901714A furnace has an input of 88,000 BTU with an 80% efficiency, resulting in an output of 70,400 BTU. Its 80% AFUE means that 80% of the gas used is converted into heat for your home, while 20% is lost through the flue piping and normal furnace operations. This model requires metal flue venting; for plastic/PVC venting, a furnace with 90% efficiency or higher is necessary. It comes configured for natural gas, but an LP conversion kit is available for an additional cost.
