Typically, this 40,000 BTU furnace is employed to heat smaller homes, particularly in ideal climate conditions.

80% Efficiency Rating: The GM9S800403AN Goodman gas furnace achieves an 80% efficiency rating, which is the standard efficiency rating in today's furnace market. This means that 80% of the gas consumed by the furnace is utilized for heating your home, while the remaining 20% is expelled through the flue venting. Please note that 80% efficient furnaces require metal flue venting, while those with efficiencies exceeding 90% must use plastic/PVC venting.
